Sick Week

We've had a tough week, with both boys being sick and Eric working a ton. Sorry I've been absent with posts, but sometimes something has to give, you know?

Ellis got sick last Friday, and is finally getting back to his usual self. Oliver got sick Monday and, while he is fever-free finally, he's clinging to me every moment.

So here's what we've been up to the last few days:

Reunited

This poor buddy has been sick, and was burning up with a fever in the night. He was so pitiful, and he wanted his baby. Only problem was, "bay-bee" was nowhere to be found. None of our three babies showed themselves, in fact. No baby dog or baby bear would do, only "BAY-bee!" He finally got back to sleep and his fever broke in the night. This morning we reunited with Pink Baby, and he's quite content, if not just a tad pitiful still.

Christmas Recap: Christmas Day

Here are a few more photos from Christmas. Stay tuned next week for some of the cutest photos ever.

Love this one.

Rody was a hit.

Because the boxes were such a hit, we decided to add lights and turn one into a space ship.  Ellis is looking at the stars through his telescope. :)

Christmas Recap: Christmas Morn

Santa brought us quite a haul at Yia Yia and Papou's house!

Isn't this the face every parent lives for on Christmas morning?

Ollie's new thing: "Where is it?"

Christmas Recap: The Lead-Up

I hope you all had a lovely Christmas. We had a really nice Christmas with our family--lots of good food, tons of presents, and just enough viral illness to keep everyone on their toes. We started our festivities on Christmas Eve Eve (the 23rd, in other words), and here are some of my favorite shots:

A Christmas tradition: family photos by the fireplace

I took about a dozen of these, and not one turned out. This is my favorite outtake, though.

Cookware! I love it!

Yes, that's my foot. And genuine laughter.

Oliver and Great-Aunt Sheila playing in styrofoam packaging

You know what they say--the kids' favorite toys are boxes
Most moving Christmas moment: my mom opened a necklace my brother made her from some of the only items recovered from their house fire. It's a necklace made from remnants of my great-great-grandmother's silverware. The comic relief, of course, is that my stepfather beside her is obliviously tickled about his new coffee mugs.

I think Logan even got a little choked up. He gives the most thoughtful gifts. And he's crafty to boot.
